Edu-build Institute stands as a beacon of educational excellence in South Africa, renowned for having the largest Early Childhood Development (ECD) faculty in the country. With a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation of educators, our ECD program equips students with comprehensive skills and knowledge essential for fostering holistic development in young children. Our faculty members are industry experts and passionate educators who prioritise innovative teaching methods and community engagement.

In response to the evolving demands of the job market, Edu-build Institute has successfully branched out into new academic disciplines. We now offer specialised courses including but not limited to Project Management and Social Counseling, designed to empower students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Our Project Management program focuses on strategic planning, execution, and leadership, preparing graduates to excel in various industries. Meanwhile, the Social Counseling Worker course provides essential training for those looking to make a positive impact in communities, emphasizing empathy, advocacy, and support services.

Edu-Build Institute has been providing Early Childhood Development training for over 24 years. Our mission is to create a thriving early childhood development center through development of jobs, education, and cultural pride. We are committed to bringing a high quality, accredited training program.

But we are not just an Early Childhood Development college. Our occupational certificates will allow individuals from various interest groups to join our group of graduates. We aim to impart value into South Africa's skilled workforce, one student, one field at a time.

Who Was Elizabeth Foster?
Elizabeth Foster
Mrs. Foster is a founding member of Edu-Build Institute. After thorough research and interviews with community members, she started with this project in January 1999 and identified ten crèches in the Ramaphosa Informal Settlement, two in the Joe Slovo Settlement, and eight in the Reiger Park area where people used to just supervise and no educating as such. She held a meeting with the members and presented the program. The said program was eagerly adopted and thirty ladies were trained as preschool teachers.

Mrs. Foster loved church but had a bigger love for God. The Methodist church was her second home. She later became the President of the Methodist Woman’s Association. Mrs. Foster studied theology for two years and received her diploma passing with distinctions.

At the age of 71, a favourite pastime of Elizabeth Foster was to pray and seek God’s Face. That is what she did until God decided to close her chapter on earth and to start a new chapter in heaven. We continue to remember Mrs. Foster's lasting legacy.
